The Lionel Train Hallmark series started in 1996 and has proved to be very popular with Hallmark and Lionel Train collectors alike. Besides the Lionel Locomotives that are part of the series, Hallmark has added other Lionel train cars such as coal tenders, passenger cars, observation cars and a caboose as well as others. Blown Glass Hallmark ornaments were made from 1999 through 2001 and are a great addition to the Hallmark series. Hallmark has also released several limited edition Lionel engines as well as a Lionel Stocking Hanger that was produced in 2008. In addition, Hallmark created a miniature line of Lionel Train ornaments that was started in 1999.
