The Fairy Messengers series of Hallmark ornaments was started in 2005. The Hallmark ornament series is designed by Kristina Gaughran. The delicate little fairies are each named after flowers. The first one in 2005 is the Poinsettia Fairy with a red skirt. This Hallmark ornament has become very popular and has increased in price on the Hallmark ornaments secondary market dramatically. The 2006 Pansy is also highly sought after. A colorway version of the Poinsettia fairy was produced in 2007. It is identical to the first in the series, however the skirt is cream color instead of the red skirt.
In 2011 Hallmark produced two pieces for the series. The series piece for that year is the Mistletoe fairy which is extremely popular. In addition the Hallmark ornament line included a limited edition piece named Holly. This piece was produced in a much lower edition size. In 2012 a special edition piece was released in the spring named, Stargazer Lily. The standard edition of the Fairy Messenger series for 2012 was the Tiger Lily Fairy.
